UI Layout and Navigation
Left-sidebar navigation, search, collapse controls, and organization context switching.
The updated Lexmark UI uses a left sidebar for primary navigation and keeps contextual actions in page headers. In most pages, users can access Ask Optra from both the sidebar and a header button, so help is available without leaving the current workflow. Sidebar items are shown or hidden based on enabled features and account permissions, so your list may differ slightly from another user in a different tenant.
The sidebar is also designed as a workspace control surface. It includes a collapse/expand control in the top-right corner of the sidebar header so users can switch between a wide navigation view and a compact icon-focused view. It also includes an organization/account selector in the sidebar header area, allowing users with access to multiple organization/account contexts to switch context without leaving the current page.

Collapse Sidebar and Switch Organization/Account Context
The left navigation supports two working modes: expanded and collapsed. Expanded mode shows labels and grouped navigation headings, while collapsed mode emphasizes compact icons for faster vertical scanning. Users can switch modes at any time from the sidebar control in the top-right area of the sidebar header.
The same sidebar area also includes the current organization/account context selector. Selecting that entry opens a context menu listing the organizations/accounts available to the signed-in user, which allows quick context switching without re-authentication. This is useful for users who operate across multiple business units, tenants, or environments.
- In the top-right of the left sidebar header, click the sidebar toggle icon to collapse or expand navigation.
- Verify expanded mode shows section labels (for example
OperationsandApps) and collapsed mode shows compact icons/tooltips. - In the sidebar header area, click the current organization/account name.
- In the context list, select the target organization/account you want to work in.
- Wait for the page context to refresh and verify that navigation and data now reflect the selected organization/account.
